New at the end of July 2010, will be our all-new variable speed irrigator. It is a single boom rotary type with special oval gearing. The purpose of this is to speed up and slow down the rotor twice during each rotation. This means that where traditional irrigators apply heavily at the edges of the run and lightly in the middle, we have now installed a mechanism to overcome this deficiency. Water and effluent spreading is greatly improved without the loss of any other performance and significant improvement in reliability.
We acknowledge that the oscillating irrigator could be a little delicate in the hands of some operators, which is why we have worked hard to eliminate any weaknesses.
This machine is still governed, so that you select how much you want to apply, and it regulates its own speed to suit pressure and the desired application amount.
The new model will also have added monitoring, so that if it stalls, it will shut itself off as well as the pump.
AND we still manage the long range (50 to 55 metre wetted widths) with less "fussiness" in the machine itself.
